Services

We specialise in all aspects of framing, including:

  • We carefully mounts oil paintings without glass, often using a floating or tray frame to allow the artwork to breathe while enhancing its depth. Watercolour paintings are typically hinged to acid-free backing and framed under UV-protective glass with a mat to prevent contact with the glass surface.

  • We mount digital prints and reproductions using archival, acid-free materials to preserve their quality and longevity. These works are typically framed under UV-protective glass or acrylic to shield them from light damage, often with a mat to enhance presentation.

  • We preserve certificates and documents using acid-free backing and mounting techniques to prevent deterioration over time. They are typically framed with a mat and UV-protective glass to enhance appearance while protecting against fading and environmental damage.

  • We mount textiles and fabrics using conservation techniques such as stitching or lacing onto acid-free backing to avoid adhesives and preserve the integrity of the material. These pieces are often framed in deep box frames with UV-protective glazing to protect against light, dust, and humidity.

  • We mount 3D objects and memorabilia in custom-built shadow or box frames, using discreet supports or stitching to secure the items without damage. The depth of the frame allows the piece to sit safely behind UV-protective glazing, preserving it from dust, light and handling.

  • We mount mirrors using specially designed mouldings that can support the weight and reflective surface, often reinforced with safety backing or adhesive. The frame not only enhances the mirror's appearance but also ensures stability and secure wall mounting.
